I have recently built a server pc, and now it is time to buy some ram. The ram that is currently in there is normal ddr3 stripped from a build (8gb), but its time to upgrade and im low on funds. taking into consideration the board is a server board with an xeon, i decided to look at the prices on some server memory. Now, I have found some but the according to my mobo, it dosent support BUFFERED ram and i cannot tell if this ram is buffured or not. I will leave the name of the ram and the motherboard down below. Please answer quickly. I need these servers up and running and quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question:
What type of memory does my motherboard support?
Answer:
The X8SIE/X8SIE-F/X8SI6-F/X8SIE-LN4/X8SIE-LN4F supports up
to 32GB of Registered ECC DDR3 or up to 16GB of unbuffered ECC DDR3
SDRAM (1.5V, 1333/1066/800 MHz).
See Section 2-3 for details on installing
memory.

Buffered ram is registered ram so it should be supported.

Admirable
REGISTERED = Buffered

if you don't mind ebay you can get a 32GB kit for $50. DDR3 ECC memory is super cheap because only servers can use it and not many people need DDR3 ECC anymore or willing to buy a used kit. For $50 I took the bet and it runs fine.
