Hi all,

I would like to ask if it's worth getting a 3200hz or should I just stick to getting a 2400hz.

This is my current Board and chip:

Asus ROG Maximus IX Z270
Intel i7-7700 (Non K)
Aorus GTX 1080 Xtreme

As for the memory Ram I was looking to getting G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 64gb but unsure if my current set up is able to run the 3200mhz rams or should I just stick to the 2400mhz since I am using a i7-7700(non K)

I game occasionally and do my graphic work on this computer.

Thank you for your time.

Solution
The 3200mhz will gain some advantage from the extra speed. Since its a z270 board, if you enable xmp profile, it can use the 3200mhz true speed.
So yeah, its very much compatible.

Thank you very much for your quick response. So it doesnt matter if it is 7700 (Non K) or 7700K, it matters more about the motherboard compatibility, just to be sure.
