Hi Gang,

My mobo has nowhere near enough fan headers on it. I would like to run at least 4x Jetflo 120 fans in addition to a cpu fan. What are my options for powering and controling this????

Solution
Those fans are of the 4-pin design, so using that Silverstore 4-pin fan Hub linked by superninja12 will do the job. You do need to pay attention to how to connect it, though.

That Hub can only work if it connects to a mobo fan header that actually uses PWM Mode for control. On you mobo, only the CPU_FAN header does that. So, connect one cable from the Hub to a SATA power output from the PSU to supply power to it. Connect the other cable that ends in a 4-pin female fan connector to your CPU_FAN header. Now connect the actual CPU cooler fan to Port #1 of the Hub - that's the one marked off specially. The CPU cooler MUST go to this port because only that port can report its fan's speed to the CPU_FAN header. Then plug the rest of your...

The CPU cooler MUST go to this port because only that port can report its fan's speed to the CPU_FAN header. Then plug the rest of your fans into other Hub ports.

This will put the speed of all of your fans under automatic control by the mobo, based on the temperature sensor inside your CPU chip. Your mobo can "see" and report the speed of the actual CPU cooler fan only. You will not see any other fan speeds. Your mobo MIGHT give you a warning that the case ventilation fans have failed because they are not connected to the SYS_FAN headers and cannot report their speed to those. If that happens, check in BIOS Setup whether you can tell the mobo to ignore the speed and warnings for the SYS_FAN headers.
