I am pairing my i3 2120 with gtx 1050 ti...what performance could I expect if I play games of 2104-16 at high settings

Solution
Dude , invest 100 euro for a msi h110m motherboard and get new pentium g4560. I have it and it runs very good. I paired it allready with rx 580 (sapphire is crap take gigabyte if so) , gtx 950 etc. I suggest you buying both cpu and gpu. Yes you need a new motherboard , it needs a new socket. Keep in mind if you buy h110m motherboard you need to update bios , so i recommend asking the shop to do that for you.

Hello!

Expect decent performance out of this setup, as your biggest hold back will definitely be the 2120. While it is the biggest hold back, that doesn't mean it's bad at all, and I would personally suggest this setup. Some titles might not be able to run well though, so if you could list the titles your looking at, than I could provide more accurate results.

Hope this was of some help!

While that is a great pairing of parts, I don't believe it is within his budget to get (a) new CPU, GPU, Motherboard, and RAM. I'm making this assumtion based on the fact that he is upgrading his current system to a budget oriented Graphics Card.
