Hello i have a 7870 that yesterday died .Not black screen but artifact everywhere bios etc. I searched it a little and i found that is a vram issue . I have a heat gun and i wonder if i bake it a little should it a make a difference because i have red that vram cant be fixed with reflow .

thank yot

It's possible that it could fix the VRAM, but are you sure that the issue is the VRAM?

Please describe the nature of the artifacts. Are they colored, black/white? Are they large or small? How much of the screen do they cover? Do they persist when the card is not in high performance mode (when sitting at desktop)?

There are 2 large vertical lines that are distorted (colored) in the desktop at safe mode . The distortion is almost the same in uefi bios . When i normal boot the system throws bsods with messages like gpu driver failed to load or others gpu related . Sometimes starts and after windows logo displays black screen. . All that at idle and the card runs very cool (windforce gigabyte cooler)

Does your motherboard have integrated graphics?

If so, please try booting the system into Safe Mode without the graphics card and remove display drivers with DDU. http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html then shut down, put the graphics card back in, and install new drivers. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download#

Yes it has integrated graphics i have tried everything , Even at a different pc i have same issues

If the issues persist in other systems, then that answers my question. It is the graphics card that is the problem.

Baking them can sometimes help, but I can't guarantee favorable results.
