Hello guys I have few threads about this already since got confused around the answer provided I decided ask the question again.So here's my question ' will AMD FX 6300 support my Mobo GA 78LMT S2P (Rev 3.1)'. I currently have a AMD Sempron 145.

For that motherboard, I'd recommend a Phenom II chip. The board has no VRM coolers. I can't guarantee it will play well with FX chips, even if you install the necessary BIOS update before putting in the FX chip.

Even with Phenom II chips, please stay away from the 125W ones. That board will likely struggle to deliver enough power.

If this is too confusing for you, I'd recommend just building a newer system. FX is dead and Phenom II is nearly forgotten.
