Graphics Card Not Functioning

My graphics card recently crapped out on me so ive been and bought myself a GTX 1050ti STRIX, ive tried installing it but whenever i turn on the machine the graphics card seems to fire up for a few seconds and then just seemingly stops, the screen displays but doesnt get as far as the windows logo and then just stops there, it sounds like the rest of the hardware is working just nothing happens.
I made sure that i was grounded at all times while touching any hardware and i also tried booting up from the integrated graphics on the motherboard and installing the drivers before reinstalling the card, that didn't help.
The computer starts and runs on the integrated graphics fine but i cant understand why the new card isn't working :/
