ok so i'm wondering if there is any way for me to use the RGB controller from my graphics card to control a led strip I have in my case, my Mb has no rgb headers and I don't currently have much money for extra parts, I can dish bout 20 bucks tops for parts or so, I would rather know if anyone knows if I can open my gtx 1070 and "bridge" the cards rgb to successfully control the strip, anyone knows if it can be done? thank you in advance guys.

Solution
Each LED runs at typically 3v but in strips they are connected so strip works at 12v. Of those 4 pin connectors one is for negative but other 3 are each +12v for each of the colors, red, green and blue so all power comes right out of it.

Ok, i wont do it but i saw a teardown vid, and the led has a 4pin conector in the plate, but yea you are right the power from the card wont hold, but do you think I can bridge just the controller pin and power the strip from the power source? i cant quite remember the voltage that is used to drive the LED controls

So hello first, i was dumb enough to put an rgb strip right into the 1080 ti strix rgb header so it started a smelly smoke after which i immediately turned off the pc. Now i am stuck with green light on the card and in aura sync i have non-aura message. Any suggestions what to do?
