I basically need to disable the UEFI function in order to install windows from my bootable usb.
Problem is, is that windows will still be installed onto my SSD and I cannot risk it booting into my
SSD with all my old drivers, when I boot into the USB I will then format the SSD and install a fresh new windows.

How exactly will I disable UEFI?
And what key will I use to get into the menu?

Motherboard: MSI Intel Z270 Tomahawk

Thank you in advanced!

So you made your own via downloading the ISO from Microsoft(MS sells a bootable USB key drive with windows 10 on it). Take a look at that link prior and use Rufus to make a Windows 10 UEFI bootable USB drive. its super easy download Rufus, run it set a couple options like MBR for UEFI. It will...
If you are just going to format the SSD why does it matter? I mean can you just try it until you get the USB to boot once it does then format the SSD? Just set the "Boot Option Priorities" to the usb drive that is already plugged in when you start the PC to get into the BIOS then restart. Worst case it starts to load Windows you can just hold the power button down and do it again.

So I don't even need to disable UEFI? I thought this might of caused problems, sorry if I sound really newbish but I've learned all this stuff from scratch, the only expert help I can resort to is this site or google.

You didn't say what version of Windows in your post but f you are installing Windows 10 from USB(the MS version)_ then no need to disable UEFI. If you are making your own install media by creating your own bootable USB drive then take a look here using Rufus to create the install media using UEFI.
