Unknown Dell OEM Motherboard overclocking?

There are a few Dells that overclock nicely. Most of them not so much. Find out what you have. You can look at the 11 year old Dimension E520 in my sig. I've had it up to 4GHz but run benchmarks at 3.73Ghz. Some of the workstations go past 4GHz stable.

Most (old) Dell desktops are using custom motherboard, with custom front panel interface. Most of them are of BTX formfactor (with CPU rotated at 45 degrees, and on the "opposite" side).
If you have spare (or can find cheap) memory modules, that's the only reasonable upgrade you can do.
