Actual interface port aside:
Your magnetic hard drive can only go up to about 120 mBps, if you have a fast drive with large platter density then MAYBEE up to 160 mBps.
So looking at the max of 160 megabytes per second or 1280 megabits per second you are only using at BEST 25% of USB 3.0 bandwidth so going from 5gbps to 10 gbps wont matter in any way shape for form. Its like trying to decide between 140 and 170 mph rated tires on your old 4 cylinder mini van.
