Directx11 on Directx12

does anyone know why i might not be able to play a dx11 game on dx12 graphics card?! i have tried absolutely EVERYTHING! pls help! PS ive seen mostly ever forum on here :/

I have windows 10 on my computer and I went into my computer and my graphics card supports directx 12 so it should be able to run directx 11 games! The specific game I'm trying to play Call of Duty: Black ops 3.
I've downloaded and installed the "dxcpl.exe" thing and added BO3 to it. The only solution i haven't tried is enabling and then disabling my graphics card bc i know that is a dangerous thing to try.

If you are using Windows XP, you won't get DX11. You likely won't be able to if you are using Windows Vista as well. The game must also developed for DX11 to play in DX11.

What's your system, OS and specific game you are playing.

did you install the old directx11?
What is your Full system spec? OS?

You are thinking of Dx9, dx11 comes with the OS or not at all.
Black ops 3 was very problematic when it first came out,I didn't follow it's patch history but I would start with support forums for the game since it's probably a bug of the game itself.
