Hello everybody,

Longtime lurker here. Been doing some digging recently to get my 5.1 Surround Sound working on my desktop.
Its a new PC, with a built in SoundCard that Supports Surround Sound also has a Optical / HDMI / Digital Input.
I have a Creative - Cambridge Soundworks DTT3500 Digital with all the bells and whistles. It support 5.1 Surround, Dolby Digital, EAX.

So, ive plugged the Optic cable in and in RealTek HD Manager i do not get an option to configure anything, there is only the option to change sound effects. I can select Optical however I do not get any Speaker configuration, no room corrilation etc.

Now I have tried in Sound Manager, to configure my (Optical) Device, it gives me no option to configure anything, so i cannot even set that to 5.1 either, though i can set it on my regular AUX cables. Also when testing In The Supporter Formats Tab in Sound manager, I get a loud noise on DTS Audio and it doesn't play the test sound. Dolby Digital Passes, Microsoft WMA Pro Audio doesnt work and my Sample rates go up to 96.0Khz is that helps at all. I have the latest drivers for RealTek, my sound card is integrated and can handle 7.1 Surround and my Receiver can do 5.1. Anyway, could possibly get an option to configure my speakers? Would appreciate some any tips, Thanks

Ive taken a look. I still cant seem to configure anything, though it seems my Dolby Digital is working. The DD light will turn on my receiver, unfortunately, no configuration so no speaker fill when its off....
