Hello,
I am looking to completely wipe my Crucial CT275MX300SSD1. It was installed for about a month and has since been rendered useless. I've performed the recommended power only and restart from an external caddy, and only a few times would it appear as a functional drive... Before it would die again.
I am under the impression it is a firmware issue and have tried everything to initialize this SSD. It appears in Computer Management as an unallocated device but cannot be formatted. It cannot be formatted as administrator in cmd. Is shows as a readonly drive and cannot be changed.
I am looking for a vicious way to "reset" this drive so I can reflash firmware. Are there any other tricks or third party programs to do any of this?
