Ok - theres no need for you to directly control it all the time. It plugs into the cpu_fan header. In the bios, you pick a fan profile - usually quiet, medium, or high - and the bios controls the fan speed based on the cpu temp.
I've gone into the bios and try to find the control for the fan speed but I can't find it. I have a Gigabyte motherboard , just in-case I'm gonna add in the model if you wanted to know "GA-78LMT-USB3". If you could send me a video on how to get to the fan speed control through the bios or maybe a step by step that would be great. If you scroll down to the BIOS section of this link it will show you what it looks like, if that helps. "https://www.bjorn3d.com/2011/06/gigabyte-ga-990fxa-ud7-bulldozer-ready/". If you don't trust the link you can search up what the BIOS looks like in google. Thanks!
