question about charging the new battery for my cellphone

ok so i have a nokia lumia 520 and i recently bought a new battery for the phone. my question is should i charge the battery for the first time in the phone or should i charge it in the external battery charger i bought for the phone also how long should i charge the new battery for the first time and what can i do if anything to calibrate the new battery

charge it till its full.
charge it in the charger or the phone it doesnt matter...
as for calibrating a battery... its a myth. of your device is showing the wrong charge reading its the device that has the issue not the battery
you want to completely drain it 1s a months or so.

by drain it do you mean use the phone till it shuts off then charge it or what
