WiFi Range Extender under $100

Anyone got a good WiFi range extender recommendation? I am currently looking into the TP-Link AC1750 range extender.

Connecting that device back to your primary router via ethernet cable (used as an access point) would be a good choice. WIFI connection back to your primary router is usually disappointing performance.

Well I would like ethernet, but my house is old and it doesn't have ethernet. Wiring it across the house would be too expensive.

Older houses can be much easier to run ethernet. Most have basements or attics which allow cross house access. But, if you can't run ethernet cable, the next best would be to try powerline network adapters. There are versions that have WIFI, if you MUST have a WIFI signal.

I don't see that it is a powerline adapter looking at the specs. This is a powerline with a WIFI access point -- https://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/powerline/PLW1000.aspx
