I am looking to upgrade my system, so I was wondering if someone could help me out and tell me what i should upgrade and what I should upgrade it to.

CPU
AMD A6-5400K 71 °C
Trinity 32nm Technology
RAM
12.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-10-24)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. F2A78M-HD2 (P0) 38 °C
Graphics
DELL E2209W (1680x1050@59Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (Gigabyte) 34 °C
Storage
55GB KINGSTON SV300S37A60G (SSD) 33 °C
55GB KINGSTON SV300S37A60G (SSD) 35 °C
698GB Seagate ST9750423AS (SATA) 35 °C
Optical Drives
TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653G

PS. Is 71c a high temp for being at idle?

Solution
Well, it depends on what you're trying to do with it. The 750ti is kind of a weak card nowadays, but it's likely your CPU/platform will hold you back the most - there's simply no good upgrade path on that socket. 71 is extremely high for idle. You shouldn't be hitting that at *load*.

Is there anything I can do to lower my temps? Maybe my performance issues are caused by thermal throttling?

I reapplied thermal paste, my case fans are working. However, I noticed that as soon as I start my pc, It hits 80c. When I disconnect my CPU fan, it steadily drops to about 40c. Whats going on?
