Creating a NEW pc, transferring to Intel

CPU: i5 7600K Kaby Lake
Mobo: Strix Z270H
GPU: Strix GTX 1080 A8G

Question is the RAM speed and amount?

Will be it be a huge difference?

Currently eyeing on the Vengeance LPX 2x4gb 2400 DDR4

What is the effect if i buy 16gb worth for the same speed?
What is the effect if i buy high speed ram? 3k territory?

16GB 2400 MHz is a good buy imo. Intel CPUs don't get much of a noticeable performance jump from RAM speeds in most games. There are some applications that benefit from it but mostly workstation related stuff. 8GB is still enough for Gaming these days but many modern games will definitely utilise more than 8GB if you ave 16GB to give it more headroom and i would recommend it especially at this budget. If you can find a faster kit near the same price then by all means feel free to go for it but i wouldn't justify spending an extra $20+ for higher speed RAM for Gaming on a Intel CPU. Ryzen on the other hand get's a good performance jump from it. 32GB is way overkill for Gaming and most desktop tasks and should be for a long time yet, go...
