My PC is Restarting on it's own?

For the past week or so my PC has been restarting on it's own usually when I'm playing games (happens most frequently when playing PLAYERUNKOWN'S Battleground). I don't get a bluescreen or any error messages before the crash, It just shuts down and reboots as if the power in my house had flickered. before I go into more depth let me give my specs.

CPU: i7-4770k (has been overclocked and used quite extensively but has always been cooler well)
MOBO: MSI Z87-GD65
RAM: 16gb Corsair vengance DDR3 1600MHz
GPU : ASUS RoG strix GTX 1080
PSU : Corsair HX850i

Before these crashes started happening I had my CPU OC'd to 4.4GHz which wasn't the most stable OC ever but it worked pretty well unless all 8 cores were being put under heavy load which never happened. Then I started getting these crashes and gradually decreased my OC thinking that my CPU was the problem (even though I never noticed temps going above 80c at any point).

I describe my crashes to one of my friends and he said that due to the nature of the crashes he suspected it to be my PSU or MOBO. he said that a failing PSU or a MOBO that wasn't handling the power well could cause a shutdown with no error prompt. So I booted up again and ran prime 95 torture test with my CPU at stock frequency to rule out my CPU. under 100% load my temps were around 75-80c with no crashes. I then ran a heaven benchmark and had no problems on the GPU side either.

The other thing to consider is that I have used these components (apart from the 1080) for about 4 years now so some of them could be in need of replacement but I'm not sure what's cause these crashes

Edit: if it is a PSU problem I might still be under warranty so maybe I can get corsair to send me another one

Most likely is it the psu if no bsod's. I know you have a high quality series psu,but even those aren't always without fault. Can you test with another one? Maybe from a friend or a local shop ...

If you really want to stress the system put the cpu and gpu under load at the same time.

The last few days it's only crashed while playing PUBG but in the past it has done it with other games but that was before I reduced my OC. And I am using a surge protector

No, because my router is plugged into the same surge protector and it doesn't go down when my PC crashes
