Worth Changing a R9 280 to a 980Ti or 1060 6GB?

Hello everyone!

I want to upgrade my GPU from a R9 280 to a 980Ti or 1060 6GB, which one is better? Should I go to 980Ti or 1060 6GB? And is it worth changing? Here's my actual specs:

CPU: I5 4430 2,7 Ghz
PSU: XFX 750W
GPU: R9 280
RAM: 8GB HyperX 1600Mhz DDR3

Yeah absolutlely, both are good upgrades.

980 ti is faster, but also uses more power (if that matters to you).

I have 750w XFX psu, power shouldn't be a problem. I'll get anyproblems because of my CPU? It's a outdated one

Your cpu is still pretty good. Both cards will work well. You may see some bottlenecking in more CPU demanding titles, but should work fine.

8 is still fine for now. Get a SSD if you dont have one already.

I would prob rather get a bigger SSD than another 8gb of ram. Or put the money towards upgrading your 4430 to a 4770/4790 or Xeon E3 1231 v3. You should be able to sell your 4430 for a good price still.

In the uk they still sell for about £100-110.

I would say 120euros at a guess you could sell the 4430.

on ebay you can buy a 4770 or 1231 v3 for around 185euros.

Yeah the 4770 is an i7. The E3 1231 v3 is basically the same as an i7 4770 but with no IGPU.

Dont need the IGPU, already have the GPU itself so, save some money on the E3 1231 v3
