Is it safe to unpark cores?

Hi guys i recently found out that i can unpark cores using parkcontrol and it gave me about 5 fps boost.The question is if i unpark my cores will it degrade the life expectancy of my cpu? And is it safe to unpark ?

Absolutely safe. Your CPU was designed to complete that task itself. No idea why windows thought it could do better. High performance plan typically​ unparks them anyway. Perhaps it could get you a few more fps. (Check windows power management,)
