As I am upgrading my Fujitsu Lifebook s7211 (Windows Vista Home Basic 32bit) from a Fujitsu 160GB HDD to a Fujitsu F500 series 128GB SSD to improve performance,
I plugged my SSD to my CloneDrive All In 1 HDD Docking station (Model 875) to clone the data from the laptop to the SSD. However, the SSD is NOT being recognized by My Computer, Disk Management, or even the BIOS. But the SSD is getting recognized by my Windows 10 Home 64bit though (sometimes) with the same dock.

As I do not want to waste my SSD, what can I do to make my laptop recognize my SSD?

Thanks for any help. :)

EDIT: the dock's Read and Write LED is NOT blinking and just stays lit. normally when a HD is plugged, if it is not R/Wing, it should stay unlit. But this is not the case with the SSD.

Upgrade from Vista to an OS that is more useful...
What are your system specs?
If you have low ram/not a very powerful processor you can try ubuntu linux. Or if you want to stick with windows you can get windows 7.

I am not upgrading yet, but eventually I will.
I know that Win Vista is really slow for the time... so I am upgrading to an SSD to get a better performance, and perhaps Win7 later on. I do not use the laptop that often but when I do use it to view old photos it is really slow...
