So I'm a first time builder and I'm building my own PC. The problem is that everything in the case turns on [LED's, fans, pump] but I am not getting any posting going. I've had this earlier today and while breadboarding I discovered clearing the Cmos did the trick.

So happy that it posted I went on and put everything together in the case and tested; it still worked. But after doing the cable management and closing the case it didn't post anymore.

Specs;
I7 7700k
Asus strix 480 oc
Asus z270f
Kraken x52
32gb [4x8] tridenz rgb
Samsung evo m.2 960 250 gb
2x crucial ssd
Phanteks p400s tg
And an usb expansion card

I've tried the ram.. taking stuff out.. but I doubt if its any of that because an hour ago it all worked. I made sure the cpu and 24 pin are connected. The mobo does not have a speaker and all the 'spare parts' that I have are not compatible.

I tried to clear the cmos again, but wasnt that lucky this time. I've also taken out the battery but again, nothing. I touch the power supply ever so often and have not noticed any sparks or weird smells.

Is there anything I might have forgotten or done wrong?

Well, the 24 pin (or 20 pin and 4 pin) CPU/ATX ones I would check first, if any of your cables are bent really tightly like at a 45 degree angle is what you should check.
It's possible you pulled it loose from the connector.

Basically, i would unmanage your cables and see if it works again.
