gtx 1080 ti core clock bug

hello, i have gtx 1080 ti reference and i found something weird with my gpu core clock
when i play all demanding games the core clock reach to 1898mhz , i used msiafterburner/gpuz and most of the alternative program , all of it shows the same core clock on gaming (1898mhz )
i read on nvidia site that base core clock is 1480mhz and boost clock 1582mhz .
i never overclocked my gpu and idid a fresh windows install and it still the same
what could be the problem ?





 
Solution
This is normal and is how the GPU Boost 3.0 feature works. Your boost clock will be higher than advertised as long as power, load, and temperatures allow it. On the reference cooler and stock fan profile the boost clock will eventually drop down in the 1700's as heat builds up but will still stay above the advertised boost clock from Nvidia.

i lowerd my temp limit and my power limit to the half using msi afterburner i lost like 6 fps but its okay now my boost core clock is between 1500-1600 and my temp never goes above 60c

before i did this my boost core clock was 1898mhz and my temps was 81c

Lowering the clock speed will lower your frame rate. The card is working as designed so I would leave it as is. Running the card stock/underclocked/overclocked shouldn't make any difference in the life of the card. Excluding factory defects most GPU's become outdated and their useful life is out instead of an actual hardware failure.

are u sure if i reduce the power limit to the card does not make anydeference in the life of the card cause its reduce my temps lik 20c from 81 to 59 and i think thats i good for a reference cooler ?
