Hi, I have a gigabyte 1080 ti gaming OC card and I'm wondering if I should trade it out for corsair/msi's 1080 ti sea hawk. What will change if I swap the cards?

Solution
It depends, is this a gaming G1 or the Aorus Xtreme?

Also depends on what you are after. If you want the best out of the box performance available its neither (the Zotac AMP Extreme wins that), if you want great overclocking headroom thats almost any of them, if you want the most quiet and cool, again thats quite a few of them, if you want just the coolest, yeah that's the Sea Hawk, but it gets just as loud if not louder than any air card because its just a hybrid card its not a true liquid cooled card. It's also quite expensive so I doubt you would be able to straight up trade for it.

But depending on what you're after depends on what the best card for you is.

Not true. With the 1080 Ti you will hit the OC ceiling FAR FAR before hitting the thermal wall. The OC potential with the 1080 Ti is not great.

Also the Sea Hawk is a hybrid card, only the GPU itself is cooled on liquid the VRM is still cooled by air and is the hottest part of the pascal cards (probably because most manufacturers neglect that area), so proper cooling there is essential, and the Sea Hawk's blower does not impress me, it might as well be an FE.
