So ive had this problem for quite a while now...

My harddrive has not worked from the start, thinking it would 'fix itself' or something would 'click' and it would start working... Well its quite obvious at this point it wont work until I do something.

My bios claims its 0.0gb, and it does not show up in disk management.

ive tried switching the cables, switching the end of the cables, different SATA ports, ect and no good has been done.

It still makes noises upon boot up (non WW2ish sounds, just normal)
the hard drive is practically invisible at this point, and i do not know what else to do.

I would troubbleshoot this but you cant troubleshoot something that is not there according to my computer.

EDIT: I also do not have any other computers to test the harddrive on so please dont say "try it on a different system"

Supposedly I never bought a warranty, though i do remember paying for one...
Checked the receipt, apparently i never bought a warranty.

So what? Manufacturer warranty is different than reseller warranty. Unless it was a used device, sent the model and serial number to WD and ask for an RMA.

I lost the packaging... this is why I wanted to see if I could fix the harddrive.
