Hello guys,
bought a pc core i5 4670, asus sabertooth z87 , hynix 8 gb ram 4 gb each, seagate 1tb and seagate 160gb hdd, in a cooler master cosmos se casing, casing have 4 fans 2 front 1 up and 1 rear.
Well i know this psu is old but i had two psu options, Cooler master extreme 525 watt or that seasonic ss 600ht so i choose seasonic because seasonic psus are good compare to cooler master corsair etc. the psu is in very good condition the only concern is i will buy rx 480 4gb or 8gb sapphire nitro oc edition is this psu is enough to power up rx 480 with other components and second question is this power supply have two 6 pin pcie connectors in one wire how will i use that because rx 480 requires 8 pin power connector and why 2 6 pin connecors in 1 wire.
Kindly answer all my questions because this psu model is old and need some good help on it.
Thanks.

Solution
It's more of a budget SEASONIC \ OEM Bulk power supply , not the same quality as newer SEASONICS , that one is an older release. Not something I'd run a 480 or newer components with , I don't like the idea of using adapters.

so you are saying this psu quality is not good enough to handle rx 480 so what about gtx 1060 it requires 6 pin connector can this psu handle 1060 with 2 12v 18amp rails?

the major issue that anyone is going to have by giving you an answer in terms of using it is that if it was to fail in some way shape or form you would have been given terrible advice . also on the subject of downgrading your gpu that's another minefield because of the psu - the power draw isn't going to be that much different regardless of this adaptor scenario . unless you step down to something like a 1050 / 750 ti which will leave you with enough left for a decent psu .. and then bam! the new gpu feels disappointing compared to what you were hoping for from the rx 480. what a conundrum !
