Can someone tell me what does the plus one offer more than the standard mobo?

https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/PRIME-B350-PLUS/

https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/PRIME-B350M-A/

The only difference i see is that the plus mobo has also ''1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (max at x4 mode) *3 & 2 x PCI'
but the non plus mobo has only ''2 x PCIe 2.0 x1''. What does this mean and is it worth it to go for the plus model?

Yes, that's the only difference. an ATX motherboard will not fit into a microATX desktop case, but a microATX motherboard will fit into an ATX desktop case.

The confusing parts can be explained as follows: on motherboards what you see is not what you get.

Having an empty slot/socket/place where you can insert/install your working and compatible devices for that slot/socket/port does not mean that device will work. There are some conditions that make presence of a device on a port disable a different port. And there are a few such instances. So, depending on which port(s) you install which device(s), other ports may not work.

In your case, PLUS may have more slots, but you may not be able to use all of them.

Theoretically PLUS offers you ability to connect more internal PCI cards, but practically it does not due some dependencies and limitations related to interactions between ports and slots. Other than that, PLUS is ATX form factor, M-A is microATX.
