I can't read the part number of this Hitachi/IBM DeskStar, but it seems that it has SCSI or SCA interface, and you will need additional (expensive) controller to use it in an everyday PC.

Then - how much trust do you have in a hard drive manufactured twelve years ago?

Edit: On closer look, it reads "SATA 3.0", and part number HDS725050K

lol fixed it, just forcefully pulled the tray thingy out with pliers and screwdrivers and it works perfectly fine on my pc.
