Hello and thank you ahead of time for taking the time to look at my post.

I've enabled AMD SVR and am able to increase the resolution of my desktop no problem, however in game I am unable to select higher resolutions other than my native one (1920x1200) thus I get no improvement or so I think and see. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?

Specs:
RX 580 8G @1400/2200
Ryzen 5 1600 @4.0
DDR4 Ripjaws G.Skill V series 3200 16G
Win 10

Thanks again!

Btw: I have just recently used DDU and clean installed the new driver update as well as a bios update.

Solution
What is wrong with your resolution? It's better than 1080 and your card is perfect to run at your resolution. If you want sharper game view, turn on supersampling AA but that will drop your performance by a good amount.

No one runs SSAA, its too much of a hog, besides AA just gets rid of jaggies, texture image quality and models will look better with VSR, best downsamping I evar seen

VSR and supersampling do the same thing in different ways. It renders at a higher resolution then scales down, exactly what super sampling does. SSAA and VSR do a better job with textures than other AA options, but it does come at a performance cost.

This is from AMD: "Super Sampling Anti-Aliasing (SSAA) is one of many methods of anti-aliasing to enable smoother textures and less jaggy polygons in games, but is not supported by all games and engines. Virtual Super Resolution (VSR) is an AMD feature that is game and engine agnostic to simulate SSAA in games that do not have native SSAA support. VSR allows games to render at higher resolutions (up to 4K; see the ‘Virtual Super Resolution Support’ table, below) and then rescales them down to a lower native display resolution. Using this, you can get quality that rivals up to 4K, even on a 1080p display while playing your favorite games. "

I this case if VSR is not doing anything, can try MSAA, but depends on the game. VSR performance hit is the same thing as if you were running the game at 4k instead of 1080, it just looks better.

At 4k I barely see the need for even SMAA, in games that are older Ill use 4x MSAA but would never do SSAA, even 2x SSAA is too hoggy. 1440p with SMAA looks great
