I want to buy an Asus Strix 1070 8GB, but I don't know if I'll bottleneck it with a PCIe 2.0.
I have an AMD A8-6600K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 3.90 GHz

I wouldnt worry about the PCIe version, you do however need a new processor first. That A8 would not be powerful enough to fully utilize the 1070.
