Prices bumped up since you built that list (to ~ $1070). For about $50 more (at the time the list was put together) You can have some improvements, including the PSU.

What does ips vs freesync have to do?

And thanks for the PSU note, it was greatly apriciated.

Yah know, I think I'll go with your second one shrapnel. Though, can you guys answer my previous question?

Edit: I currently have a hp pavilion 22cwa, but its respond time is 7ms and I think I'll take the larger, faster screen for my main one.

Freesync is basically the equivelant of G-Sync, except it doesn't have extra fees (including licensing) attached. it allows your GPU and monitor to remain in-sync with each other even when the refresh rates change in a game.

IPS is a monitor panel technology that boasts wider viewing angles and better color reproduction. IPS panels usually cost more than TN panels and have slower response times. While you can find performance IPS panels in monitors, there usually is a price penalty. The monitor you initially chose was 60Hz with a 5ms response time. Great color reproduction and just barely within respectable gaming ability. The two monitors I chose reflect greater gaming ability (especially as the price went up) at the expense of better colors (although TN panels can be "good-enough" when just playing games.)

EDIT: I should clarify that FreeSync and G-Sync work a little differently to accomplish the same thing, so they're not exactly the same and not interchangeable. They're, as I said, basically the same, as to what they do (but now how.)

I know Jonnyguru liked some of the higher end Andyson units but I agree on the lower end units. I'd go for a G2 or a GQ/GS personally.
