Hello everyone, quick question: My PC has an Intel quad-core i5 3570k CPU 3.4ghz, with a nvidia 660 2gb vram GPU .. I'd like to upgrade to a nvidia 1060 or maybe even a 1070. Would my current CPU be sufficient for this GPU upgrade? If not, would you care to elaborate as to why? Thank you!

Thanks for the speedy reply!! Would a 1070 be acceptable as well? I may fork over the extra cash for the next step up in GPU lol

It's a good match to either, the i5 is still a very capable gaming CPU. I think you'll be fine for a while yet.
Somewhere down the track a game may come out that won't run acceptably on an i5 but I don't think we have reached that point yet.
