Hey guys, I have this problem with my newly built pc and it's so frustrating..
Specs:
i7 7700 @ 3.6ghz
Palit nvidia GTX 1060 6gb dual
Teamgroup Elite 4gb 2133hz x 2 (8gb)
Msi b250m mortar
500w Psu
1tb WD Caviar blue Hdd

Moving on, I have seen many benchmarks of GTA V on youtube with lower specs than mine (i.e. i7 6700, i5 6500, i5 6600k, gtx 1060 3gb) with their framerates reaching up to 80-100 on ultra. While if I did the same settings as theirs was, I get 35-60 fps only and averaging on about 50fps. I have installed the latest drivers for my GPU but still, no luck. What am I missing? My Nvidia control panel settings are on default. Any ideas guys? :c

Aerocool Rave 500w. Sorry haha I know the psu doesn't make a difference when it comes to Fps so I didn't write the specific name haha @ThomasKK, I'm running games at 1080p but I still get that fps when I try to run GTA V on ultra. :c
Yes, I have installed all drivers for my mobo and chipset :c

The PSU can indeed make a big difference if it's not up to the task of powering everything all at once; it can be over the wattage requirement of your computer but still be unable to keep up.

Upon further research, apparently that particular PSU has a bit of a bad reputation. Try an Antec or Thermaltake, and make sure you get at least 80+ Bronze efficiency.

It's not just the 80+ rating in this case, although usually it does correspond to higher quality (although it's not a quality indicator in and of itself). While researching your PSU, I found several articles and forum posts saying that particular PSU is poor quality.

Try Antec or Thermaltake; I prefer Antec, as I've had zero issues with their PSUs thus far (and I'm on my second build personally, fourth overall with their PSUs).

Check out that list. You'll want to avoid anything less than Tier 3.

Thanks guys. But we're far off the topic. I wanted to know why i get much lower fps than the benchmarks seen on youtube w/ my specs being higher than theirs?
