Hi,
I recently tried to install AI Suite 3 by Asus on a Windows 10 build with a Z97-Pro motherboard. During the install my computer froze and rebooted, however now the mouse and keyboard no longer work when the Windows 10 login screen is reached, but it does when entering the BIOS. One of the features that were installing were USB 3.0 drivers (I think) which may be the problem.

From this thread I have tried enabling XHCI Handoff , however it still doesn't work, and i am unable to access or use the PC.

Solution
asus AI Suite ?

ya used it once and seen never again

what a mess and system issue and then hard to remove , matter of fact reinstalled windows to do so

opinion on my experience with it though some find it great all I seen was a lot of nit picky issues with its use / install just did not work out too well for me

lesson from that and outher thing like it = don't install any of there ''gimmickware'' just basic motherboard needed drivers . less gimmick crap = less issues

good luck

Hi. I enabled XHCI Handoff, but also DISABLED "Legacy USB support" AND "Intel xHCI Mode", and that seemed to work. I tried restoring to optimized defaults but the USB ports wouldn't work, so I left it just like I said : /.

I have NO IDEA whether USB 3 ports are working full speed or not, or if any of them can supply power beyond the USB 3 spec.
