Will this case fit all my components? Is it a good fit for gaming and VFX, etc?

Hello guys.

Thank you for clicking on this thread.

I'd be very grateful to receive some help from here.

As an amateur at building my very own first gaming PC, and for many other uses like VFX, PS, Editing, etc, I alone cannot make a decision on what component is good, along with what other component, and do ALL of them fit together in the case I have chosen?

Alright, so let's begin with what I have come up with so far:

1) The Case: Redline Series RL05

The Motherboard: MSI MB H270 GAMING PRO CARBON

The CPU: INTEL CORE I7-7700 (3.6GHZ) (4 CORES | 8 THREADS)

The Graphics Card: ASUS STRIX GTX1060 6G GAMING

The RAM: Geil EVO RGB X 16GB 2400MHZ DDR4 Dual Channel

And after this I don't know more. Is this case enough, I mean I don't know if this case has self-included 'cooler'? Is it air-cooler, stock cooler? Or what? I don't know about these, so please tell me what I need more.

Are these components enough to support the gaming PC in a very above average way (of course it is a decent build, not a perfect one)... So..I mean about the powersupply thing? How much Watt powersupply do I require? And what else is next? Am I done with it?

Thank you so much in advance!

Solution
I'd go with one of the 2 corsairs (CXM / RMx)
or maybe the THERMALTAKE SMART G DPS 750W
the others are either even more expensive or garbage

the VS is junk
what are your priorities of usage?
also what kind of screen do you use?
because if you're using a screen with 60Hz or editing and VFX is a big proportion of your usage, you'll be better off with a Ryzen 1600 / 1700
otherwise the i7 is fine.

I find the ASUS Strix 1060 unjustifiably overpriced. if you want to stick to ASUS, go for the 1060 Dual. Otherwise for any other 2fan or 3fan GTX 1060 6GB and save some money that you can easily reinvest

coolingwise, I'd go with a Cryorig H5 or Scythe Mugen (depending on pricing/availability). The case can fit any cooler with uo to 165mm size.

you're missing storage. i suggest a 240-300GB SSD for the OS and main apps + a 1-4TB HDD for your general storage needs.

last but not least, a 550W QUALITY PSU. Depends a bit on your budget.
I fancy high grade PSUs like a Seasonic Prime or a Corsair RMx.
EVGA's G3 or GS & Super Flower's Leadex are also very good.
if your budget is rather small, look for a XFX TS Gold 550, Seasonic S12G or G, Corsair CXM550 (not the 500 or 600) or a Super Flower Golden Green Hx. Those would do as well.

Thanks for your answer.

I am not sure what you are suggesting about Asus 1060 Dual thing. I mean what's wrong with Strix? Is it overpriced, is that what you are implying? Or has more fans got to do something with performance?

Also, I personally like the shape of the Asus Strix 1060 and the Aura RGB lightning thing about it.

About my monitor, it is LG 18.5 inches or smth. It pretty decent.

About HDD, and SSD, I got that covered and I have no questions regarding that. Thank you for bringing that up though.

And lastly, my question was, do I require coolers for this kind of components and build, as my case already has inbuilt 2 fans.

Thank you. More different answers, and suggestions are very welcome and I would be very grateful for them.

EDIT: Please do tell if my Graphics Card, RAM, CPU is perfectly matching with my motherboard? Thanks.

Nothing wrong with the STRIX. very nice card. but up to 100$ more expensive than other 1060s while offering nothing but the Aura RGB in return.
granted, a nice looking inside is nice, but not if this money could be better spent at other components of your rig

are you looking to upgrade in the nearer future? the 1060 is the perfect card for 1080p (usually 21,5-24'') for 18,5'' it's somewhat overpowered.

nah, you only need a CPU cooler (as your CPU doesn't come with one). the included fans should be sufficent for airflow inside the case.

SOMETHING I'VE OVERLOOKED:
you're using a H270 board with an i7-7700k and an Asus Aura card.
several things:
the combination will work. it just doesn't make much sense.
the 7700k differs from the 7700 only in the ability to overclock (and it doesn't come with a cooler). real life performance at stock speeds is the same.
an H270 board doesn't let you overclock and furthermore offers no useful features compared to a B250 board.
so for a 7700k I suggest getting a Z270 board. fpr a 7700, I suggest going for a B250 board.
furthermore since you said you like the Aura feature of the STRIX GPU -- these only work properly if your mainboard supports it. that means if that feature is important to you, you'd need an ASUS STRIX mainboard.

so I suggest either upgrading the Mainboard to a Z270 board, or going with the 7700 instead of the 7700k.
if Aura is important to you, change the board to an Asus Strix (Z270 or B250)

Hello. Thanks for your reply. So, if you think it offers nothing but Aura RGB in return, then I really don't need it. I need performance. So please tell me, which one would be the same equivalent to the Asus Strix 1060?

Also, the CPU is actually i7-7700, not 7700K (image issue), but anyways, as you say that "H270" doesn't let you overcloak, I'm dismissing this motherboard, and instead choosing "B250".

Btw, if I want to keep Asus Strix 1060, which motherboard are you suggesting. You stated "Z270 or B250". But I saw that these are available:

1) ASUS STRIX B250F GAMING

2) ASUS STRIX Z270E GAMING (WI-FI)

3) ASUS STRIX Z270G GAMING (WI-FI)

I mean, you just said the plain Z270 or B250, but these models have "F" or "E" or "G" at the end, like Z270G, Z270E, and B250F.

did some more research.
Aura feature comes equipped with the Asus Prime Z270-A (which will be the cheapest of them, quality board though)
the Z270E is a premium board and way overkill
the Z270F is a bit better than the Prime and the board I'd look at, if you got the funds
the Z270G is basically the µATX version of the Z270E
if you're going for a Z270, I'd go with the Strix Z270F or the Prime Z270-A

if you're going for a non-overclocking build (with an i7-7700), get the B250F

if you don't care about the Aura feature, your current board is fine (although there should be a B250 version of it as well)

as for the 1060, get the cheapest GTX1060 6GB that you can find that has 2 or 3 fans.
Asus Dual, MSI armor, Inno3d iChill, Palit Jetstream, Gigabyte Aorus or G1, EVGA FTW(2), Gainward Phoenix are all very nice cards, get the cheapest you can find of those as they all perform the same more or less

You've been very helpful, and I'm very, very grateful for that, mate. ;)

So here it seems that I'm near to finalizing my build.

Here's the current one with updated alterations:

Case: Redline Series RL05
CPU: INTEL CORE I7-7700 (3.6GHZ) (4 CORES | 8 THREADS)
Motherboard: ASUS STRIX B250F GAMING
Graphics Card: ASUS STRIX GTX1060 6G GAMING
RAM: Geil EVO RGB X 16GB 2400MHZ DDR4 Dual Channel

So, as per the above components, do you think that this powersupply (my current powersupply) would support that build? It is Thermaltake Smart SE 630W.

If it doesn't, then please tell me which of the below ones is better, and would it run fine?

THERMALTAKE SMART SE 730W
THERMALTAKE TR2 700W GOLD

Isokolon, do you got Skype? :"C I'd be very grateful, because I hate waiting so much. I want to end this build asap. Please, if you might lend me your Skype ID, thanks.
