PC pumping out heat - can you see a problem in the data?

Hi, my PC has been pumping out a lot of heat recently, can anyone see anything on this report below that would highlight something I can fix to reduce the heat generated by the PC?

There is no way your cpu fan can spin that fast > suggest cpu check fan is installed correctly wiring etc.

I would hope so as it should be taking off and leaving home at 56000 rpm.

I don't use it for gaming, but I have a habit of leaving maybe 60+ chrome tabs open! and maybe Photoshop and other apps. Not a lot might be happening other than running those apps.

There seems to be a power supply fan and an exhaust fan

Not overclocked. Not sure about the CPU cooler.

Interesting thanks! Is there a way I can find out what cards are compatible with my system?

With the GPU temperatures reaching that high, a single exhaust fan and no intake fans at all, it's no surprise the computer's pumping out heat.

As Zerk2012 said, you could replace the GPU for something far more efficient, like a GTX 1050. You're unlikely to notice a performance deficit either as Photoshop tends to hit the CPU harder than the GPU. Besides that, and if your case supports it, I'd highly recommend that you buy at least one intake fan for the front of the case. Ideally, you'd have two at the front to bring air in and one at the rear and one at the top to exhaust air out.

Thanks bicycle_repair_man, I've now relooked. There's one fan at the front and a fan at the back. I don't think the chassis can handle a fan at the top by the looks of it on this photo, though not sure. And by the looks of the photo, I don't think there's space for another fan at the front (you can see the existing fan at the bottom right of this photo).

Is it best to just replace the graphics card?

Thank you, I'm happy with how the HD 6900 series card has been performing - how can I find a modern efficient equivalent which will still work with the mother board? I don't do much gaming, but do some video editing, have two displays and Photoshop work. The RX 470 is £200 - is this the best equivelent? Or could a cheaper model do the job? Any ideas?

Without knowing which specific HD 69xx series card you have, it's difficult to draw comparisons. That said, it's an irrelevance anyway as GPU architecture has improved massively and newer models always have better drivers.

An RX 460 or GTX 1050 is all you'd need. Photoshop is mostly CPU-driven and only a handful of features require a dedicated GPU.

Great thanks so much for your help. I've now bought an RX 460 - we'll see how we get on. Hopefully slightly cooler.
