Hello,
I have the current config:

Core i5 6500
ASUS H170 Pro Gaming
8 GB DDR4 Kingston (HX421C14FB2/8)
Zotac GTX 1060 6GB Mini

I was a bit short on money last year, so I bought just 1 stick of 8 GB RAM.
Now I want to add another one, but the original one was at INR 2680
now, it is at: HX421C14FB2/8 (INR 5680)
So, I chose another card: HX421C14FB/8 (INR 4699)

So, i wanted to ask if I combine:
Kingston 8 GB DDR4 (HX421C14FB2/8) + Kingston 8 GB DDR4 (HX421C14FB/8)
In dual channel mode?

HX421C14FB2/8 - This is the newer model with memory modules in Single Rank configuration. This configuration is faster than the dual rank and hence is generally a little more expensive.

I don't know if the single ranked vs the Dual ranked is a big enough difference for dual channel mode to not work.
I would stick with the same model if you plan on running dual channel.

I did what you're planning but I bought the exact matching set of memory DIMMs and dual channel works fine. But all bets are off if you plan on getting a different model.

Btw dual channel and single channnel do not have significant speed differences in real life .

The reason I ask is I notice a huge difference on my Laptop on dual channel and single channel mode.
Also, I had a PC go bad because of mixing incompatible DDR2 modules. I do not want anything like that to happen to this PC
