I played FFXIV few days ago (longer session), then screen goes black, music is still in the backgrounds (no other sounds, i was in the middle of the fight), monitor is switching from hdmi to vga every second, pc is still working, fans etc. I restarted pc, after windows boot monitor shows black screen with randomly located white stripes. After 3rd reset i worked. I launched FFXIV again and it crashed after few minutes again, but pc booted properly. I have read that it's nvidia driver fault, i switched something in control panel and in power settings, and it worked. Before that incident i had heared something like electrical buzzing from my pc, for 2 seconds every 30-60 seconds. After cleaning my hardware its working properly.

But today my pc crashed the same way 2 times when i was on the internet. PC booted properly. I have installed new drivers after first incident. Any ideas how to fix it? I have no money for new pc for a year.

My pc:

EVGA Geforce GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0+
8gb ram
intel core i5 3350P 4x3.12 ghz
msi b75a-g43
disk western digital wdc5003azex
monitor samsung s24d390

Edit

I have noticed something. Few days before "buzzing" i had problems with sound in FFXIV few times. Game has stopped giving any sounds (to game restart), but system after alt+tab worked perfectly. In Titanfall 1 and 2 (less in 2) i have very frequent "popping", like someone touching microphone. Video card has nothing to do with sound in headphones. They are working perfectly on yt for example. Maybe motherboard is dying?

Have you used a program like HWInfo to monitor the temperatures of your CPU and GPU? The other possible cause is a failing power supply. The buzzing sound may have been from the power supply or a component failure on the motherboard or video card.

Checking temperatures came to my mind today, i will check that. This buzzing was certainly interesting, but i can't say what was it. Now it sounds as it should.

Edit

Unfortunately i can't check power supply temperature. It can be overheating, maybe fan stops working. Year ago i had to change one of the fans because it just got broken.

Edit

It's not overheating. Just played 2h in FFXIV, everything is fine. Yesterday it crashed after an hour of google chrome. I still have few possibilities, if i won't fix it, it's time to buy new pc. I have money, but i wanted to avoid this.
