My build cpu: Intel i5-6600k. Mobo: Asus z170-e gpu: msi gtx 980 hdd: Toshiba ram: crucial ballistix sport ddr4 8gb. My computer worked fine yesterday then when I turned it on this morning the boot device led light stays on and my computer comes up to the enter bios screen saying press f2 or del to enter bios but nothing happens when I press those keys. I've tried clearing the cmos and taking everything out piece by piece but end up with the same result. Any ideas as to what might be the problem?

1st to see the HDD shows up in the BIOS or not, by press the "del" key boot into the BIOS.

Because your Toshiba HDD or the OS may have problem. Try remove it, and boot the PC. If the PC can boot but you get no boot device error. And you will know the problem is from the HDD, or the OS.
Try the HDD in other PC, if the HDD is fine, you can repaire the OS. Otherwise use other HDD for your PC to reinstall the OS.

I cannot enter the bios when the screen comes up and I tried putting my hdd in a friend's system but their bios says it's an unrecognizable device. And when booting my PC without the hdd I get the same screen and it won't go into the bios
