Ryzen 1500x, 1600 or 1600x

I am currently trying to build a gaming pc, and I don't know what cpu to use. Ryzen 5 1500x, 1600 or 1600x are my options. What do you think? I am going to be using it this pc for gaming, multitasking, and school. If you can provide a motherboard under $100 too, that would be greatly appreciated.

i don't think so, but maybe in the future when i go for a system upgrade in years. But I'm looking at clock speeds for the x's too.

Overclocking or not 1600X is best of those 3. For games 1500X may be good enough (for now) but heavier multitasking requires more cores to be effective. If you don't plan to OC or use multiple GPUs any, even cheapest MB with B250 chipset would do.

1600x. IMO, this is the sweet spot for the new CPUs. Perfect blend of performance to price and apparently they are now $219 at newegg!! Of course they are... because I bought mine two weeks ago at $249!

Get the 1600x, no need to OC it but can if you like and you will be very happy with your choice. Get a solid motherboard and good RAM and you're set.
