Hey guys my build is pretty new and stuff and I noticed every time I turn on my pc the CPU light comes on and stays on. So what I do is turn the computer off then take out a stick of ram then put it back in; turn of the computer and bam! It's gone! But then the TPU light stays red and it says something with the fan and then it sometimes also says overclocking failed. Please help me I've been having this problem for a really long time now and I want it to go away
My specs are
Asus z97-a motherboard
I7-4790k CPU
2x8 of Hyper x fury ddr3 ram
850w g2l power supply
GTX 1070 SC
H100iv2 water cooler
And a 1tb hard drive

Lights on the motherboard aren't much of an indicator of perfect functionality. They usually just show that the motherboard has power. Whether its sufficient or not is a different story, but it doesnt sound like a power problem.

A good place to start would be doing a cmos reset. You can do this by removing the large flat battery on the motherboard for about 10 minutes, or you can take a piece of metal like a screwdriver, locate the cmos reset jumper (if you have one, consult your motherboard manual) and touch the 2 tips on the jumper together for a few seconds.

Doing this will reset any special settings you have in your bios, but seeing that you didnt overclock or anything, you most likely run on default or sub-default settings, so...

Is you're system overclocked at all? If so, have you tried going in and setting your overclock to standard?

Have you looked at the fan to make sure it is running properly? Have you also checked your bios or other software for your cpu temperature and fan speed information?

Also, out of curiosity, when you said you take out 1 ram stick, have you tried switching the ram stick you pulled out with the one you left in and test again?

Though i do recommend going through your bios and taking pictures of each page of information in case you do run into issues.
