So I have posted on lots of other parts of TomsHardware but eventually the responses stop and it leaves me at a dead end, So I came here because my SSD was what I thought could have been the problem the whole time.

Here is a link to my last post with all of the details of what I have tried:

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3376528/freezing-bsod-significant-errors.html

The most important thing to me was that when I tried to run the sfcscannow it said this "attempted sfc scannow, but it says "windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation"

This is honestly just been quite frustrating especially they part of where it happens at random and I can't recreate the freeze by doing one thing in particular.

Not sure it may help, but i have recently had problems with my Samsung 850 EVO 512GB, which finally led me to return it, as it was defective. The problem i was having was that the system at some point became unresponsive, no response to mouse or keyboard, but no BSOD or windows error. After many tests, i concluded that the SSD was simply stopping, windows couldn't read or write from the SSD, so it just stuck without giving any errors. I was able to detect this by waiting to get the problem, and then unplugging and replugging the SSD. By doing that, it became responsive again for a few minutes, but then it stopped again.

No idea whether your problem is of this same type, but seeing as it is the same make/model... Good luck anyway! :)

That is what happens when my computer locks up... everything become unresponsive and also no bsod or any real errors in my event viewer besides that my Windows isn't updating

I guess if there is no other responses by the time I get home from work I'll go buy a new ssd and we will see. Too bad I can't test it to see if it is fixed though. After a month of no freezes i guess I could consider it fixed

When your system freezes, does the sound get stuck in a rapid loop? I have a Samsung EVO 128 with my system installed on it. Every once in a while I would be playing a game and the screen would suddenly freeze and the sound playing through would freeze as well. (Imagine you taking a clip of the sound being played only .1 seconds long, now put that in a seamless loop constantly playing.) So my PC is a sitting duck. The only temporary solution I found was to simply restart the computer via case button. What was interesting was that occasionally I would play a game and the freeze would happen for 1.5 seconds and then resume like nothing happened. This has been occurring probably once every two days. Until one day, my mother was browsing the web and the computer froze, and unfortunately she has the habit of holding the power button down to force-shut-down instead of simply clicking the "reset" button above it. After attempting to power it up again, Windows performed an "Automatic Recovery" or something and then failed. Basically windows was corrupted and/or could not boot up. I could still access the files on the SSD via SATA just normally but my windows needs to be reinstalled on it. Since then I tried installing windows on another WD Black HDD and using it as a boot drive, and everything works like normal (obviously). So confirming this is a hard drive issue, I think we can safely assume the SSD is defective or failing because even though it is readable/writeable, occasional unresponsiveness is totally possible. Sorry for the overly long post but I think you can just replace the drive, as it is a physical issue.
