I currently have a Asus P5G41T-M LX3 motherboard. IK it's really outdated. it has only a maximum of 1333Mhz(O.C) of Ram support. I'm willing to get a DDR4 mobo within the price range mentioned.

I thinking about getting an Asus H110M-K or Asus H110M-D(whichever is better). I'm also planning to get an Intel Pentium G4560. I've read about something updating BIOS to support the G4560. Since, I'm not that familiar with it, it would mean a lot if you would explain it to me a little bit. And If there are any more good motherboards within this price range, please let me know.

Thanks :)

Asus H110M-D and H110M-K both looks like a decent one as H110M-D has HDMI port that supports 4096 x 2160 resolution while H110M-K has D-Sub and DVI output. Both supports DDR4 memory. You can choose any one between these two.

G4560 is a good choice for a decent budget build. Well you might have to update the BIOS.
So why you need to update the BIOS?
Because G4560 is from Intel's Kaby Lake(Code Name) is the newly released CPU after the H110M-K,D motherboards. So for the motherboards the CPU is new that they do not know how to communicate with it. Updating the BIOS informs the motherboard to support the...

Updating the BIOS informs the motherboard to support the CPU. To update the BIOS you need to run the motherboard right? With a CPU that is not supporting the motherboard how could to run it? You need a older CPU to run the motherboard. In this case a Skylake CPU can be used to run the motherboard and update the BIOS. After updating the BIOS now you have to install the G4560 CPU in the motherboard to work fine.

Note: If the mobo has the latest BIOS version updated by the manufacturer and sold then you don't have to update the BIOS as it will support G4560 right then. But the older BIOS needs you to update it. You can confirm it with the manufacturer about the version of the BIOS.

I hope you understand.

Look for the 100 series chipset motherboards. This one is good ASUS B150M-PLUS D3.

Hey mate, what do you think about this MOBO? it's a little cheaper and supports G4560 too. Should I go for this one over the Asus H110M-K?

Yes you can go with it but remember the RAM is DDR4 for both mobos so if you have DDR3 modules it won't work. If you don't need a HDMI output then you can go with this. Its upto you.
