after installing a radeon 480 card on my dell 8300 pc I get a message (no signal from computer)on power up. I can put my NVidia 560 card back in and everything runs fine. with the radeon 480 card windows will not even start, keyboard seems to have no power. Fans all run, video card shows blue light,, everything has been re-seated, video card, ram, etc.. I sent first card back, got a second card , it does the same thing. I reset BIOS and CMOS by pulling the battery out. Support from XFX says it is not a compatibility problem with my system... I'm stuck,, anyone have any fixes?

I hate to be that guy but pre built pcs are not really meant to be upgraded.
Have you uninstalled the old gpu drivers?
If yes then i really don't know any other answer than that your motherboard isn't compatible or that enough power isn't being delivered to the new gpu.

yes I uninstalled all the old drivers, tried a new power supply, checked for the latest BIOS version,, re-seated ram,, the support group says it is not a compatibility problem, but I am like you I am leaning toward the MOBO.

What psu? You plugged the pcie power connectors, right?
