90 - 100% Disk Usage when gaming

This has only been happening recently i was playing GTA V which my computer should be able to handle but the Disk usage sky rockets up to 90-100% desk usage which causes me to suffer from severe frame drops. Yesterday i tried by disabling SuperFetch and Windows Search but that did nothing it still doesnt help to bring down the percentage of disk usage. Please Help.
GPU- MSI GTX 970
CPU- i5 4460 RAM
RAM- Hyperx furys 2x4 GB
Motherboard- msi z97 gaming 3
SSD- none

Do you have windows 10?
Open task manager and figure out what is using the disk so much. I was able to use that to figure out that I was having the same issue while my Oculus Rift was updating software. It pegged my drive at 100% and cause the game I was playing to run slow. Since I wanted the updates I just let it finish updating and then started playing the game again after the update was done.
