UV light breaks down tubing: Myth or Fact?

I have seen some reports of people saying that UV light breaks down tubing. I am going to use Monsoon 4x90cm PETG tubing with some UV fluid, with a LOGISYS UV 12" cold cathode. Will tubing break down?

UV can break down glues and other plastics, I don't see why tubing would be any different.

It really depends on how strong the uv is. Do some research about it. The uv will eventually make your tubing weak and then there is a high chance of failure.
