SATA Power cable melted HELP

I just had a SATA cable melt, it wasn't plugged in but was however touching the metal inside of my case. It was connect to another cable from one end and that connected to a bunch of other things not sure what happened though. My PC was on when it happened but it had only been on for 2-3 hour. I started to smell it so turned it off

Tbh I would recheck the wiring is ok first . No wires bare no wire end touching mb or hanging loose etc .

So just order a new cable off amazon or somewhere and plug back in and see if it does or doesn't do it again.
