vga onboard problem

excuse me, i build a new pc (xeon e31220 v3 and motherboard b85-g41 pcmate), the problem is nothing display in my mobo on my vga onboard (the message 'cable not connected'), monitor and the cable is good, i tested using the vga card), but the msi cs say, the problem is the cpu, the xeon cpu dont have any graphic, and the point is, i must upgrade my cpu to using vga onboard, my question is, thats true?, i need help, thanks for your help

yup, that is correct, if the CPU doesnt have any onboard graphics, then you either need to buy a cpu with onboard graphics or you need to buy a graphics card.

The graphics are not built onto the board like they used to be, they are built into the chip, some xeons come with onboard, most dont, I think only a handful of E3s come with it, E5s and E7s dont at all.

yap, iam make a mistake, i want to make my pc have a triple monitor, 2 display from vga card and 1 display from the mobo support using display from IGD and PEG together, my vga card gt740, dsub and hdmi working but the dvi-d ist not work, i was buy the adapter, but nothing happen
